The drive, there and back

The drive line starts with distance. The guide gives a straight line from your town to the casino, and the tool doubles it for the way back. Walkerton is 9.8 km away, Durham 17.0 km and Owen Sound 47.3 km. A road is always longer than a straight line, so you can copy the road distance from Google Maps instead, counted both ways.

Fuel works in two steps. Fuel use means the litres your car burns to cover 100 km. Litres used are the distance times that fuel use, divided by 100. Multiply the litres by the pump price, and the result is the cost of the drive.

Food and drinks in the building

The Arcade Bar is on the casino floor and is open 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., 7 days a week. It serves pre-made items and an Arcade menu. Two restaurants share the building: MATCH Eatery & Public House and the Buffet. Both are entered through the casino's main entrance or through a patio entrance.

MATCH is a contemporary themed pub built around sports and entertainment, and it keeps its own hours. Regular hours for the Buffet are not published. This guide prints no menu prices, because prices change. Type in your own number for food and drinks.

The play limit, set at home

A play limit is the money you allow yourself to gamble during the evening. Decide it at home, before you leave. Think of it as the price of the evening, not as money coming back. The tool never suggests an amount, a game or a bet.

There is an ATM inside the casino, and a second one in the raceway grandstand. A choice made at home is easier to keep than one made beside a cash machine.

From the limit and the hours, the tool shows a pace per hour and a stop time. It also suggests a short pause each hour. These reminders are the Tally desk's own, not rules of the casino.

How long the evening runs

Hours are a line of the estimate too. Sunday to Thursday, the floor is open 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., so 1 a.m. is the latest end. Friday and Saturday it is open 24 hours, so there is no 1 a.m. close to lean on. On those nights the end time is the one you set, and the tool shows it as your stop time.

The Arcade Bar closes at 1 a.m. every day, weekends included. Hours between midnight and 9 a.m. on Sunday are not published. Holiday hours should be checked on the casino's own site.
